Music Ministry

Sunday - 8:30 a.m. & 11:00 a.m. Worship and 9:45 a.m. Life Groups

“Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thanksgiving in your hearts to God.” Colossians 3:16

Worship is very important at FBC Flora, and music plays a major role in leading, assisting, and guiding in the worship experience. Our goal and purpose for all music that is sung or played to be true to scripture and the Gospel of Jesus. Music also gives the direction and unique atmosphere in our three morning times of worship.

Our first time of worship, beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary is a traditional worship experience using hymns and praise songs.

Our second time of worship is our Refuge contemporary worship service led by a worship band that meets in our Christian Life Center at 11:00a.m.

We offer many different ways to get involved with our worship ministries. Whether that be through the adult choir, instrumentalists, soloists, or ensemble, we have a place for you! A sense of fun in singing combines with teaching the fundamentals of music, reinforcing Bible teaching, understanding why we sing and learning how to praise God in worship as a worship leader.

We serve a God who is worthy of our praise! If God has gifted you with an ability to sing, play, or lead, then we would count it a privilege to have you involved in the worship ministry at First Baptist.

Adult Choir – Everyone is welcome in our Adult Choir. There is no audition; the only requirement is that you love God, love music, and enjoy singing His praises. Join this loving, caring, fun group of people as we worship God in song. Rehearsals are at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays upstairs in the choir room. Come sing with us!

Senior Adult Choir “Joyful Noise” meets the first and third Thursday of the month at 10 a.m. in the Sanctuary. We have a great time singing at area nursing and retirement homes. Even if you don’t sing, join us when we travel and minister by handing out goodies to the residents. Everyone is welcome! We need you!

Soloists – Even if you are not involved in one of our choirs or the REFUGE worship team, your talent may be singing. Soloists are needed for special music on Sunday mornings and evenings. Share your passion with Bro. Gil and use your gift of singing to glorify God.
