“Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thanksgiving in your hearts to God.” Colossians 3:16
Worship is very important at FBC Flora and music plays a major role in leading, assisting, and guiding in the worship experience. It is our goal and purpose for all music that is sung or played to be true to scripture and to the Gospel of Jesus. Music also gives the direction and unique atmosphere in our three morning times of worship.
Our first time of worship, beginning at 8:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary, is a traditional worship experience using hymns and praise songs. The 10:30 a.m. worship service, also in the Sanctuary is a blended style with hymns and praise songs with piano, organ, and choir.
We offer a fully graded music program that includes choirs, ensembles and praise teams for all ages starting at the age of 4 and continuing to our Senior Adults. A sense of fun in singing combines with teaching the fundamentals of music, reinforcing Bible teaching, gaining an understanding of why we sing, and learning how to praise God in worship as a worship leader.
We serve a God who is worthy of our praise! If God has gifted you with an ability to sing, play or lead, then we would count it a privilege to have you involved in the worship ministry at First Baptist.
